IS SKIN CARE FEMALE?

Cultural requirements, role models and, last but not least, the cosmetics industry itself ascribe beauty topics primarily to women. Historically, however, body and skin care is not just a women's issue. Even if we first think of Cleopatra and her extensive bathing and scenting rituals with rose blossoms and rose blossom oils in ancient Egypt. In Egypt, for example, thorough grooming of the beard was a ritual of the pharaohs and only ordinary men went beardless. That changed later, because the ancient Greeks opted for hairless faces and shaved. This in turn required good skin care to meet the aesthetic demands. Nothing has changed to this day.

WHY UNISEX?

A cosmetics line should not exclude anyone because of their gender or age, that is ATTIÈL's philosophy. Simplicity and reduction to the essentials are also valuable factors for a mindful life for us. Fewer, high-quality, suitable products: Last but not least, this makes the beauty area in the bathroom clearer and tidier. Especially since men also appreciate high-quality skin care and soothing care rituals and rely on serums, toners and the like.

THE SKIN TYPE DETERMINES THE CARE

That's exactly what matters and it's less about male or female skin and more about the skin's needs. Men have a thicker dermis and, due to the higher testosterone content, usually produce more sebum, i.e. less dry skin. You should therefore rely on light and moisturizing or balancing cosmetics for care. The same goes for women who tend to have oily skin. Thus, in skin care, it is more relevant to pay attention to skin type than gender. Older skin, on the other hand, needs more moisture and is happy about intensive serums and nourishing creams. 

WOMEN CARE, MEN TOO

Just like female facial skin, male facial skin is also happy to be stroked with valuable products. Regular shaving in particular is a challenge for the skin and it can react with burning, redness and small pimples. Good care that feels pleasant and smells good is all the more important.
